Civitella v. Pop Warner Football

Embarrassment, humiliation and hurt feelings may be insufficient to establish intentional infliction of emotional distress. Allegedly, the minor plaintiff, 14, played football with a Pop Warner football team as a fullback and linebacker, and his volunteer coach, Anthony Branca, issued derisive comments, such as "you suck," "prick," "bastard" and "idiot," in an effort to motivate him.
