Connecticut General Statutes §47a-35a, which requires a defendant in a summary process action occupying a "dwelling unit" who appeals to post a bond virtually contemporaneously with the appeal or to file a motion for use and occupancy payments in lieu of bond, is silent as to the precise procedure for setting the amount of the bond and does not expressly state whether an appeal should be dismissed if no bond is set in the first place.
