The Connecticut Supreme Court in its 2012 decision in New London County Mutual Insurance Company v. Nantes, explained that C.G.S. §52-59b (a)(1) "authorizes jurisdiction over nonresidents who transact any ?business within the state provided that the cause of action arises out of such transaction,' " and in its 2007 decision in Ryan v. Cerullo, construed the term ?transacts any business' "to embrace a single purposeful business transaction.' "
