CBA Over The Line On "Gender Equity"

The Connecticut Law Tribune

May 26, 2008

I doubt I'll pad my fan base with this dissenting opinion regarding the CBA's "Gender Equity" initiative. But dissent I must. The CBA is way out of line with this program which, by force of bench/bar pressure, goads law firms to sign a "pledge" agreeing not only to adopt legally suspect gender-conscious "best practices" but to submit to the authority and oversight of CBA officials respecting their compliance with the pledge. With this initiative, the CBA marches in lockstep with the ABA's egregiously offensive conduct in harassing law schools and law firms to adopt lawless admissions and hiring quotas.
