I write today to block any effort to nominate Connecticut United States Attorney David Fein for appointment to the federal bench. In his four-year tenure as top federal prosecutor in Connecticut, he has not shown the requisite commitment to fair play and respect for the rule of law necessary to inspire confidence as a federal judge.
