Dimitrios Magriplis, et al v. Restaurant Depot LLC; RD America LLC, et al.: A soccer player from Greece who moved to Connecticut and was injured when a 200-pound pallet fell on his head at a Restaurant Depot warehouse store has settled his lawsuit for $1.18 million.

    Chris,
    A Settlement is not a Verdict!
    The whole Mediation Process includes Pre-Mediation Preparation including Ex-Parte discussions, Conference Calls and reviewing critical documents, possibly though not necessarily a face-to-face meeting and follow-up contacts/calls to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, which is what Bob Holzberg as a good Mediator did to achieve settlement.
    I am surprised and curious why the Defendant did not insist or at least pay a premium to have the details of the Settlement kept confidential.
