A Connecticut advocacy group for the hearing-impaired has filed a lawsuit against a move theater chain for failing to provide accommodation for deaf and hard of hearing movie patrons.

    You gotta be kidding! When was the last time you went to a theater? My hearing is not so good and it is so LOUD, as to be painful, that I have asked management to turn down the volume! If anything, it is so loud as to pose a danger to patrons and staff.

    "The technology exists. They just need to make it available. . ." Just make it available; so simple. Who is going to pay for it? The patrons, through higher cost of a ticket.

    "There are 70,000 deaf and hard of hearing people in Hartford County . . ." Given the population of Hart Co, (895,000) that means that almost 8% of the population is deaf or hard of hearing. I doubt that, even though I am among them.
